RICHARD MOODY (Uptown Minneapolis)

Richard Moody has been labeled many things in his life, the labels he prefers most are socialite, philanthropist, event planner, master of ceremonies, project manager, fashion authority, fashion blogger, author, motivational speaker, and community servant.

From his swanky Uptown Minneapolis office, Moody can proudly boast.  Moody has over twenty-five years of experience creating and producing “top-notch” industry events, in elite circles, Moody is the “fashion and events” guru people call when they need to plan a seamless event.

Moody’s passion for fashion and entertainment are overshadowed only by his passion for giving.  This industry veteran has faithfully produced the 4-H Club’s Annual Fashion Show for twenty-four years, and he has been producing the Gift Giving Drive for The Link MN (www.thelinkmn.org) for twenty years.  Moody’s charitable, annual Christmas party is one of the most talked about in Midwest elite fashion circles.  Moody’s efforts have helped thousands of homeless youth through the years.  Moody is also a major supporter of the Sabathani Community Center’s Horizons Youth Program.

In 2007, Moody was honored alongside fashion notables, Damon Dash, Rachael Roy and baseball great, Yogi Berra, by the Dress for Success Organization for his work helping wardrobe women in transition.

On August 25th, join Richard Moody and local beauty label, NONTOXIQUE at BMW of Minnetonka to celebrate the NONTOXIQUE’s debut at NYC Fashion Week.

To help celebrate BMW of Minnetonka is hosting a special “Green Carpet Event”. The Green Carpet Event, although focused on NONTOXIQUE, will also celebrate and highlight female businesses owners from the Twin Cities, who were recently featured in the new book, CRAVE, that spotlights local movers and shakers.

Following the “Green Carpet Event”, guests will enjoy an evening emceed by Katie Dohman, Editor of Minnesota Monthly, taking place in the state-of-the-art BMW of Minnetonka facility that opened this year.  The 230,000-square-foot facility is a work of art itself, featuring three indoor showroom floors and a theater.

CRAVE restaurant will cater to guests with many delectable treats, and throughout the evening everyone will enjoy a tasty mix of “ear candy” provided by DJ Shiek.  Another highlight of the evening will be the fashion show, produced by Moody, featuring designs by il Vostro Boutique, OPM, Bumbershute, Irely, Max’s, and Urban Junket.

There will also be a scavenger hunt sponsored by BMW of Minnetonka, that will give guests an opportunity to win a host of wonderful gifts and prizes.  Gift bags will be handed out to the first 200 ticket purchasers and will feature samples from NONTOXIQUE, Infinity Tea House, and more.

A portion of the proceeds from this event will go to benefit TreeHouse, a non-profit, faith-based organization helping teens and parents during difficult times.  More information can be found at www.treehouseyouth.org .
